"no disc" error on all types of media
Wont read any DVDs or CDs (tried store bought, divix compilations, mp3 cds about 30 in all)
Pulled it apart and cleaned the lens with isopropal alcohol. No change...
Anyone know where to source replacement laser or if there is a way to adjust the laser on these units (done it on a xbox DVD player but this doesnt seem to have any adjustable potentiomiters)?
Or should it go to the dumpster?

There actually are 2 adjustable potentiometers. To find them unscrew DVD tray and flip it over. Adjust only one, first from ribbon connector. First mark somehow its original position. then start turning clockwise a hair at the time until it start playing disks again. I just fixed mine. Good luck.
