"no disc" When I put a disc in the player, close it, it says "loading" and then "no disc". It spins while it says "loading", but then when it says "no disc" it stops spinning?

I am going to give you a tip here that you might want to try to rectify this. First try cleaning the laser with a leaning kit. If your player is the photo above you should have access to the laser, take a cotton tip and dab it in some 90 percent alcohol and gently clean the laser lens.
If that does not work you might need to have the unit repaired. Now these units are like $89-4100 new a laser for these wold be like $64 bucks plus you labor it might not be worth it for you to be honest here.
Give the cleaning tip a try. if that does not work then you might want to consider other alternatives.

in this model there is not such aminal, I know what your talking about this has no such control. and that would have not been the issue if it where as the controls your tsalking about are varrient and are controlled by the stepper. I would go as far as to tell you there is nothing like that on this model.
There is a problem on your dvd lens you can try to clean it wit a clean soft cloth.turn off the unit open the tray and look for the lens.Wipe it with a cloth.do not use any liquid just a soft cloth.second is you can try to adjust the focus of the lens.there is a VR control under the lens use a plastic small precision screw driver.gradually adjust it clockwise/counter clockwise untill the lens read the disk..If this procedure doesnt work you can replace the whole lense assembly that is available at all electronic shops..tnx and good luck!

Thank you for your help. I tried wiping the lens, but it didn't work. How do i get under the lens to adjust it by the VR control. I can't find it.
