No drives c,d,e,f is showing when formatting . I put the reboot disk in and run it so that all the drivers can be put back into the system but no result
No PC told not even the slightest hint all all , SMACKs of Desktop sure, maker and model is secret. NO OS told windows 2000 to w10, must we guess that, my wild wild guess is you are installing windows , RIGHT and my guess is the hDD is bad or formatted wrong.
why not tell what THING is formatting,
install disk.? name it?
in w7 now and explorer shows no drives.
in disk manager and it shows no drives>
using partition tools and shows no drives/.
better yet tell what you have now, PC and OS then if upgraded the OS (a good idea) tell what OS you are upgrading to, if w10 you need no driver, (by hand loaded)
Step one is test the HDD first, if fails S.M.A.R.T test the HDD is no good all all you did above is 100% hopeless. with any bad HDD. btw , you can assign partitions to a drive letter and need not be a any 2nd drive, etc.
