No DVD sound LiteOn LH-20A1L
I have an LH-20A1L which is connected and can play CDs just fine. It can play DVD video, but no sound comes through to either the on-board sound card or the Soundblaster card (I have disabled each one and used the other just to make sure). I updated firmware for the DVD player and have the latest drivers for the DVD player and both sound cards. I've tried both Windows Media Player and Nero to play. Does anyone have a suggestion of what to try next? This player is connected via SATA connection.

The audio lines from the DVD player should be hooked up to the sound card. If the two audio wires are not connected, no audio will happen.
Next to your SATA connector sits another plug with two pins in it. You need a jumper wire that runs from your drive into the sound card. There should be two pins on you sound card that match the pins on your DVD drive. If the drive was added on, the wire should have come with it.
