No power about 2 months back it got hot and shut down i let it cool down then read about the brushes may need to be filed down, ran fine since, and now it is doing same not turning on i pulled apart and cannot find any burnt spots on the copper

If you already checked and replaced the brushes but it is still not turning then you do these:
Try to see if your unit have a safety breaker and reset it,most of power tools have also a fuse in the plug itself.
Also some have a thermostat fuse.,you can find it attached on the rewined coil.
