I'm Harvey the Master Plumber.

Your question is: New dishwasher was working prerfectly and now it will not power up.
You checked the breaker it's fine and I checked the outlet for power.
The dishwasher will not power up. There was water at the bottom of the tub so you took out the filter removed the water and cleaned out the drain pump.
Still no power. Any suggestions on what to do next?

I see this all the time! Your problem is electrical. 9 times out of 10 you'll find a loose, broken or burnt connection in the junction box. Turn off the breaker first, we're not going to get a shock. Look under the d/w and behind the kick plate. You'll find a small metal box on the right or center. Remove the screw. You'll then find the hard wire connections we're looking for. Take wire nuts off one at a time (so we don't confise them). Inspect carefully. Replace wire nuts and restrip wire ends as nessessary. Test the unit before replacing box and plate, there's a chance you might have missed something. Confirm d/w is working then recover.
