Hi,Initially, pls try: check the output voltage of the AC adapter with the use of a DVM. Move, slightly bend, wiggle the cord specially close to the plug; check the jack if it is fixed in place. If it wiggles/moves even a bit could indicate a loose/cold solder; internal partial short. Possible a reverse protection diode or the voltage regulator.Hope this be of initial help/idea.
