Follow the wires for the batteries into the rest of the wiring. Look for a large fuse for the batteries, for safety's sake they probably have one somewhere. Make sure the joystick connector is connected as I believe that includes the on-off button. Make sure you didn't connect the batteries in parallel or backwards.
