No power with power supply plugged in
My Packard Bell Easynote notebook computer does not seem to get any power from my power supply. The battery won't charge, but I have used a voltage meter to find out the power supply itself is providing power as expected.

I would use a power supply tester to be certain. Voltage meters are a good indicator of weather or not the main power distribution points are working, but there are actually several points providing power.
If this still doesn't work, check the power at the battery terminals to see if the battery itself is getting any power sent to it.
