No Red in Picture through Component Cables
I purchased a Loewe Aconda 38'' ACO 9383 four years ago. After a couple of years, the picture suddenly didn't have any red in it through the component cables. It still had red in it if you hooked it up through Svideo. Unfortunately, that is not an HD picture. My set has been in a repair shop for the past two years!! The local repair shop has sent the chasis to the Loewe support (Loewe is no longer selling sets in the U.S.) service of Panurgy in NJ on several occasions. Panurgy says there is nothing wrong with the chasis and that they get a full hd picture when they hook it up in their shop. But, when the local repair shop hooks my tv up it has the same problem. Panurgy now says they will not invest anymore time to fixing my set because they can't find any problem with it. I am beyond frustrated! Does anyone know what the problem might be that this local repair shop might be overlooking. I can't say I have a lot of trust in their competency. Also, is there away to go around the issues with the component cables and use a hybrid VGA/HDMI cable to get an HD picture through the cable box? I have seen on-line a company called HD Fury that offers different types of connections. I'm not sure if the VGA connection is only meant for connecting to a computer monitor. Any help on this frustrating situation would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks.
