No Signal I was using my computer the other night when my cat knocked out the power to my computer. when i restarted the computer my monitor was not receiving a signal. i tried a different monitior to see if it was my monitor that was the problem, but no signal was still being sent to that monitor either. Can this problem be fixed or do i have to replace a part if? so which part? I have a Gigabyte 8800 512 MB, Asus motherboard, AMD Quad core processor, 900 watt PS, and overheating isnt the problem my computer was at a constant 86 degrees
Just out of curiosity confirm that the power switch is set to 115/120 and not 230/240 (assuming you are the states) Try These please 1- if the motherboard has a built in video card, plug the monitor unto that to test . 2- remove the video card from its slot then reseat it, then power on system 3- remove the memory and reseat, then piower on system
the system should beep, that will confirm if *********** board is doing doing its system tests.
Secondly remove all devices on the motherboard just leaving the barebones, video and motherboard.
Since you are already at it you could also reseat the processor.
Hope this helps you to narrow down the problem
ok try this take all the memory sticks out, and power on the system should beep, that will confirm if *********** board is doing doing its system tests.
