No Sound!!!! Everything else appears to be working fine. Just no sound. No other devices are connected. Using only for the dvd player for my son. I have checked the audio settings which appear fine as well and also turned the colume all the way up and can hear faint static

That is called a TV, DVD combo. You either need the 6 legged sound IC chip replaced or the tuner needs a resolder on a cold solder joint inside it. (i've done this a few times, with a large magnefying glass)
