Some new guitars use USB and software on amps so..1..Download and install the Fender Firmware Updater. 2. Once installed, launch the Fender Firmware Updater. Connect your guitar or SLIDE interface. 3. Launch the Firmware Updater. (The current firmware build is bundled with the Firmware Updater). 4. Press the Update Firmware button to begin the firmware update process. Once the Firmware Updater completes the update process, your guitar or SLIDE interface should be ready to use. Might help?
Or the hardware end of things, a wire could be loose inside guitar body on the 1/4" phono jack. Unscrew, pull out enough to see, solder if necessary. Get someone else to if you aren't comfortable but its REAL easy to solder. A craft store can show you! Hopefully the dude at Fender that day didn't add enough flux and it is why. Its two most likely places. Your guitar doesn't sound like it deals with software but its there if you need t.
