No sound through the receiver
My wife got a re-built XL-BD10 turntable for Christmas. When I hooked it up to a new Insignia receiver I couldn't get any sound out of it. I checked all of the connections to make sure they were correct and they were. Any suggestions?

Note that on page 6 of the receiver manual (one of the models... you did not tell us which) says that... "the turn table must have an MC type cartridge OR use a seperate preamp or step up transformer"...
The MC cartridge is LIKELY a high output type which is NOT typical...
It MAY be you have too low a level of audio output from the turntable.
