This could be several things, first I'd look at your antenna system,make sure its matched to your truck. When I say this you need a good ground good coax at least 18 foot,the mount and it installed right and the right kind of antenna, they make many different one because not all work on what you're installing it on. Then I'd check your mic if it has a broke wire it can also cause the problem you're having, most midland mics are wired different so don't just find another one.
