No Vernon, my key doesn't have a transponder chip. My car is a regular metal key without any plastic on it. But I believe there might be something in the actual housing unit of the ignition. My car is a 2000 Saturn sc2 coupe is there anything you can inform me about that might help? Thanks for your help. I'm just a girl. Lol
Yes there is a pass lock sensor inside the lock cylinder or part of the lock cylinder . Nothing your can do or should do ,computer controlled anti-theft system , you can't disconnect it ,cut it out etc... your vehicle will never start an stay running . If your having a start -run problem ,your best bet ,have a qualified repair shop check it out .
