No Video (Overlay) and no 3D-function
Hello,
I have a new 6100M2MA-RS2H motherboard runnning fine with an Athlon X2 BE-2300 and 2GB of MDT-RAM. The only problem is, that I cant get 3D (directx, opengl) running. When the system switches to 3D, the screen shows corrupted artefacts only. When I want to watch video, i.e. mjpeg of my Canon Ixus, there comes nothing but a flickering screen of red, yellow...
The system itselfs runs absolutely stable and fine with 2D U(windows desktop applications -> internet, picture viewing...) but when you want to test the windows screensaver (opengl), the same problem like above appears (in a window too).
I have tried almost everything, the newest nForce-drivers/graphic-drivers, new directx version, 2 times Win XP reinstall, fresh installation of the os and only the nforce/graphics-drivers and so on...but no effect.
Could it be a damaged 6100 chipset that only works in 2D?
Kind regards
Dirk from Germany

It sounds like you're onboard video card is faulty. Try installing a PCI-E card into the system. Foxconn claims they warant their board for life. It would be worth checking with tech (New board).
I found no bios update that would address a fix for the onboard graphics card. (Unable to function in 3D).
Onboard VGA, page 42 in the user manual.
