Noise in my car amp
My amp used to be fine for a long time. Then one day it started making a humming noise, and the bass would start hitting like crazy with music on or off. I used to just unplug the rca cables. Then the next time id get in it, and plug the rca cables back up it would be fine, and a few days later do the samething. Now its doing this nonstop, if I turn my jeep on i have a low humming noise in the subs which are hooked to the amp. no noise at all in the normal speakers. If i take the rca cables out of the radio and just leave them in the amp, I can hear a low sound coming from the subs just from touching the other end of the rca cables, ive tried 3 different rca cables thinking that may be the problem, and its the same with all. Ive taken my ground from where its always been, cleaned it up and put it back since it worked forever in the same spot, and that didnt fix it. I followed my power wire to the battery looking for any cuts or anything and it was fine, even cleaned the end at the battery. took the dvd player out of the dash looking for problems and havent found any. for the time, i just have my amp on my backseat, rca cables running from the radio straight back to the amp on the seat. my power and remote amp wires ran on the right side (side of the battery) back to the amp, and my ground cable just a couple feet to the left of the jeep. Any answers to what may be causing this would be really helpfull. thanks in advance. I miss my bass :(
