Nortel convity 100 VPN router configuration
We just changed Carriers. I need to change the IP info on a Nortel Convity 100 VPN Router. I am not at all familiar with Nortel routers. Does anyone have any instructions on how to do that? I tried accessing the router through the browser unsuccessfully. From what I read, I have to get a software to access the router, but I don't have the software. Please help.

The VPN Router 100 was discontinued on June 30, 2006 and may not have web-GUI access. This is a detailed instruction how to configure most Nortel's VPN router. I hope this helps.

If you are using Windows (except Vista) you can use Hyper Terminal to access the router.
Start > All Programs > Accessories > Communications > Hyper Terminal

If you don't have the current password, there is no way we can backup the current configuration. You have to start from scratch. Default username is “admin” and the default password is “setup.
