Norton security does not stop what it should
Claims to stop spyware. Had a spyware attack. It removed some. I have a digeste.dll file in the window system32 folder that causes and error. Sysmatic wants to charge to remove this because their software did not. What a scam.

If you have another computer system around, remove the hard drive and plug the drive into the other system. Scan the hard drive using a virus scanner.
Some viruses are difficult to remove otherwise.
I would recommend Kaspersky as an Antivirus system and proactive scanner. It has not failed me yet. It has a 30 day trial (I think its 30 days) that you can try.
It helps the antivirus system, to have your computer free of infections (viruses, spyware, etc.) before installing any antivirus software.
