Filling with water over night? Two problems here, either your control panel is ghosting or you could have low water pressure or not fully on. The fill valves need 20 pounds to keep them shut and there is a small issue of soft touch buttons sticking or closing from error. A error code of F2- is water issue, ok on a HE4 and 5 having power off press drain/spin then select no spin for drain speed and press prewash until C :00 is in display. A little different for HE 5. The tech manual is in the kick panel just in case attached at the right side frame if not at the panel, the screws are 1/4 or a 9/32 for the torx head screws.
I had this same problem with my washer a few years ago. I finally opened it up and found that there was a dime inside the pump blocking the outlet for the water. Sometimes the dime would not perfectly block the hole, so it would work fine, and then the next day it wouldn't work. No idea on how it got inside the pump, but I got it out finally. It could also be a problem with the timer......I would say you should at least call a service company and ask them first.
