Not readable. I've been using Memorex rewritable 2X 4.7GB DVD-RW DVD without problems. Today I purchased a 25 pack Memorex rewritable 4X 4.7GB DVD-RWs but they don't work on any of my 3 players. Unknown Disc or no disc shows up on the screen. There is something on the disc but doesn't show. The last time I tried to put the disc in and re format (just in case) it tied up the computer and I had to do the Task Manager thing. It wouldn't open the door to the drive or stop trying to do ??? Are these just bad discs?

If the disks do not work on any of the three players they are probably faulty, try buying a spare disk of same kind , or writing a disk from a different pack, it it does work then you bought a box of faulty DVDs, ask a refund.
If disk from different box gives same problem when burned on same computer, then there may be a problem with DVD burning software, try doing a system restore to a recent date,
