Not recognized I have just installed a new DVD RW Liteon 20a1p, attatched all the same cables as my old drive, moved the jumper to master, just like the old one. The computer (XP) seems to think it's a CD drive. It ca recognize cd's but if I put a blank DVD in, it thinks there's nothing there, and in My Computer, it's called a CD drive. Help! What should I do?

Go into your BIOS and see if you can get it to autodetect the drive. You should be able to this but I can't tell you how to because all BIOS setups are different.
Then save your BIOS and reboot.
The drive should then be recognised as the right thing.
