HelloCheck the CD spins inside it, when we close the lid. if not, check the lid. There is a small swelling like formation at its edge that will get into the CD player, when we close it. This will hit on a micro switch inside the set, which in turn send a CD in signal to its system control IC. If this signal does not reach the main system control IC, it won't sense that CD is in. If this switching process is OK, when you close the CD lid, make sure that the CD mechanism has the trouble, and need service. OK.
