Noticed oil around bottom of air filter and some surrounding pipes. Is this a breathing pipe problem if so where do I look. My car is fiat bravo 1.9 diesel 150 bhp. 2007
Either the crankcase is overfilled with oil or the breather for the crankcase is obstructed or the engine is worn and has excessive cylinder blow by past the piston rings.
If you introduce any restriction to the crankcase venting oil could start pushing out all the engine seals. So it's not a good idea you have. This is a common issue in small ultra high compression diesel engines. If you introduce any restriction to the crankcase venting oil could start pushing out all the engine seals.
