Nvidia Driver doesn't seem to work
Sorry for not being tech-savvy enough to properly explain my issue. What I'm dealing with is that I'm trying to recover a hand-me down computer that my brother had given up on. It has an Nvidia 7600GS card in it. When I start Windows (xp), the screen resolution is restriced to 800x600 with 4-bit color, on a 22" monitor, to say the least it's ugly. If I disable the video driver, I can turn the resolution up to 1600x1200 but everything moves really jerky. I've tried downloading "fresh" drivers from Nvidia, but get the same results.
I'm sure I haven't really given enough information, but I'm not really sure what more you need.

If you're really sure that the video card is ok and the rest of the system components are compatible with it, I suggest to search for a nVidia driver on www.guru3d.com ...they have modifyed video drivers to work better. Also, a directX 9.0c download would be helpfull......
