This is usually a leak in the evap coil,if it's under 12 years old the coil is still under warranty.sub zero is a great machine, the only problem is that the evap coil behind the back wall in the fridge section leaks or a hole develops.the freon leaks out and the fridge section will continue to get warmer, the vacumm coil lite will come on.i've seen this happen to some machines that are 3 years old it happens.you need to get a tech in,he'll recover the gas, evacuate it,replace the coil and add new freon in,if it's under warranty it will be 650 to 750,or if not under warranty 11 to 12 hundred dollars to repair.
you can check the back wall of the fridge section on the left side and see if there's ice biult up on the wall, this happens from the leak, the freon is only getting cold on the left side because this is where the lines connect to the coil and ice will form on the wall there, also the coil up top behind the top cover should be cleaned at least once a year,i use a shop vac, unplug the fan or shut the machine down, cover the hole on the left side with a towel, vac off the coil on the right side then set the vac on blow and blow through the coil, the towel will stop the dust from blowing into your kitchen,if you set the vac up and cover both sides then blow it will keep all the dust up there but you can't help some of the dust to blow out, then cover the right side and blow through the coil where the fan blades are.if you don't do this your fan motor can go or worse your compressors so clean that coil.you can try doing this because it should be done anyway but if you notice an ice buildup on the left inside back wall of the fridge section you have a freon leak most likely in the coil behind the back inside wall of the fridge.hope this helps and good luck.you can check the back wall of the fridge section on the left side and see if there's ice biult up on the wall, this happens from the leak, the freon is only getting cold on the left side because this is where the lines connect to the coil and ice will form on the wall there, also the coil up top behind the top cover should be cleaned at least once a year,i use a shop vac, unplug the fan or shut the machine down, cover the hole on the left side with a towel, vac off the coil on the right side then set the vac on blow and blow through the coil, the towel will stop the dust from blowing into your kitchen,if you set the vac up and cover both sides then blow it will keep all the dust up there but you can't help some of the dust to blow out, then cover the right side and blow through the coil where the fan blades are.if you don't do this your fan motor can go or worse your compressors so clean that coil.you can try doing this because it should be done anyway but if you notice an ice buildup on the left inside back wall of the fridge section you have a freon leak most likely in the coil behind the back inside wall of the fridge.hope this helps and good luck.
