Probably its too late now. But I just had the exact same problem.
Data recovery companies estimated $700 to recover my data. "Get the fk out!"
My aboslute solution that worked pretty good was buying an IDE adapter and connect it to my laptop.
I was so happy to recover all the files for $20 which was the cost of the adapter.
The drive inside is dead. if you want your data back youll have to sent it to a data recovery centre.
