Odd odor The radio had been playing and then suddenly stopped.I noticed that the wrong power connector had been used . I then tried to use battery power and still - nothing but a strange odor - Is the radio shot or can it be saved

Yes..... that odor you smell was a component burning out on the circuit board. if you were lucking it only burned out one thing. fixable....if you have the time. actually anything is fixable it usually boils down to the cost of fixing it vs replacing the item.
