OFF button on my Dell Monitor E176FPb is stuck
I do not know how to open the monitor. The on/off button does not work. It is "dead" (does not go in or out). I know that the button is supposed to contact a "thing" and that is what is wrong. If I could open the case I could solve the problem myself. There are two "ridges" around the monitor that look like either one could be pryed open, but I do not know IF or WHICH one to attempt. My warranty has expired so opening it to repair is not a problem. I do not want to waste money to buy another when I can fix the problem! Thank you for your help. Tom

Hey...Tom,
To open this monitor, it's from the front edges of a bezel. Laid it down screen face up and placed a piece of soft cloth on top of the screen to protect from smudged. Then with 2 hands using all 8 fingers lifted the edges of the bezel from the screen slowly with some force to it. Do the same on the other sides until it came loosed. If you happens to got some smudged on the screen just damped a soft cloth or paper towel with tap water and cleaned it. Have fun!
