If there's no led light at the front panel, this is an indication that the power supply board (G Board) is not working even the standby power supply.
I would advice you to pull-out the G board from the set, look for bad solder joints(cracked, dried, cold solder), leaky electrolytic capacitor (sometimes has a bulged/dome at the top). Re-solder the suspicious joints most especially around IC6101/STR-A6169 and then put it back into the set and try if the symptoms still there.
Let me know if you're handy with electronics and I will guide you fixing the G board yourself.
If you can't troubleshoot the unit yourself, I would advice you to replace the entire G Board.
Hope I helped you. Have a nice day! Thanks for using Fixya.
Yes, familiarize all the cable connected to the G board and then disconnect them, pull-out the board to have an access and see clearly the copper side and the component side of the board. Bad solder joints is hard to spot, work in the brightest area or used table lamp and magnifying glass.Yes, familiarize all the cable connected to the G board and then disconnect them, pull-out the board to have an access and see clearly the copper side and the component side of the board.
