off control. This problem is all over message boards online, but I cannot find a solution that works for me. Is there any way I can make AUX work for the receiver (tx-sr603x) for volume and power? Thanks!! Karen
Hello! Let me start by asking you for the cable box name and model number...Also tell me what components, besides the Onkyo, are connected...I love a challenge...

hello! I have a solution for your problem...Is the remote for the Onkyo one of the following...
RC-620M, 621, ,622, 622, 623, 630, 631, or RC-632M? If so I have a complete list of every device, and every manufacturer code list...The objective is to program the Onkyo remote to run every piece of equipment connected...It took awhile but I located a 4 page list of codes for your remote...
If you give a complete list of all your device manufacturer's I'll send you all the codes...My intention was to give you the link but when I went back it was gone: Strange.
I'll wait for your reply...................saailer

hello! After further digging I have the missing code...The problem is this...A chip needs to be added to the cable remote so it will "see" code 30536 which is the magic number...Try 30536 and see what happens...This is a real problem with this unit and many people have sent their cable remotes into the cable box manufacturer and had this chip installed...Perhaps now that you know the code your cable remote will work...Another option is to purchase a URC 8820 from Amazon...
If you are satisfied, would you be so kind and re-rate my solution.....saailer
PS : Scientific Atlanta codes are...0904, 1904, 0504, and 0035
