OFF switch into the opposite position and left it overnight - still nothing. The unit and the instructions do not have anything on them stating which is officially the OFF position, so I am assuming it is in the down position (towards the charger) that it came in and is pictured on the instruction pamphlet. The charger unit light is lit green while the unit is in place, but so far it appears to be a dead unit. Bought it on EBAY from a private party, so there is no customer service to be had

Go to conair's website and email customer service. I have this same shaver, used it for about 3-4 months and only every other day and the charger is not working. The light won't light up and it gives off a bad smell like it's burning up.
I emailed conair and called their customer service when my hair dryer blew up within the first 6 months. It was an expensive dryer so I felt that I deserved a replacement. I was told to mail it in and within a few weeks, I had a brand new dryer that has been working well for 8 months now.
