My monitor is cycling on and off every 1-2 seconds and makes a pinging or clapping sound. I've followed the instructions posted here, and have disassembled the monitor. I've located the 3 capacitors, and they are slightly bulged. I've seen people mention soldering the capacitors...do I have to do that, or will they just snap on and off the board? Is there a specific way to remove the capacitors? I REALLY don't want to solder!

First you would have to make sure that you get 3 good capacitors. The UF value has to be the same and just make sure the voltage is either the same or it can be higher. Also make sure the resistors physically are close to the same size as the ones your replacing.
Basically at this point you would have to unsolder 1 bad capacitor and then make sure you put the new one in exactly the same way the old one was in with the line facing the colored area on the board, that is the thing, they have to be put in this way for them to work.
You have to unsolder the old ones and resolder the new ones in, one at a time. They DON"T snap out or in. Unsoldering the old ones out and resoldering the new ones in is the only way to do this and fix your monitor.
