Don't forget to change the oil filter at the same time. On your bike this is an internal filter element. This is also located under the engine and will require you to remove another 17mm bolt which goes through the centre of a round metal cover. The new filter should be soaked in oil prior to installing. There will be a round black rubber sealing gasket which runs around the cover. Make sure it is sitting correctly in its groove when installing. Assembly in reverse order.
First of all let the engine run for at least 15 mins to warm up at the running temperature. Then turn it off and let it set for 10 mins. The reason is when the oil is hot it becomes thinner and 98% of the oil will drain. Now find the lowest part of the engine and there should be a bolt of spanner or socket 17mm or 19mm. Take it out and the oil will drain. let the oil drain for 10 mins and put the bolt back in, Tight it well and pour the oil from the top oil cap.
