If it is then replace the oil sender. It may be plugged. Then if the pressure is low or nonexistent change the oil and filter. Metal fillings is a concern but you would need to dissemble engine parts to see which bearings are worn.

My guess is the bearings are gone and you aren’t getting proper oil flow. Not a good sign.
