Ok.. the remote has been set to my tv and cuts it on and off. the volume works but when i select the SAT button it does not bring up the menu schedule to browse the channels? The tv I'm trying to figure out is upstairs. the dvr is downstairs (tv1). and there is no dvr box upstairs but it is listed as tv2...so what do i do?

Hey there, Cheri Torres with DISH Network Customer Service.I came across your post recently and wanted to see if I could help. It soundslike your remote is going to need to be readdressed to the DISH Networkreceiver box. You will first need to take your TV2 remote to the TV1 location.I will list here for you the steps on readdressing the DISH Network remotecontrol. - Go to System Info screen. You can do this by either pressing the system info button on the front of the receiver box or by pressing the power button then press the channel up button once.
- Once you are in the system info screen you will see primary remote address(TV1) and secondary remote address(TV2). For your particular scenario you will want to change the secondary remote address number.
- Hold down the SAT button until all mode lights light up.
- Enter a number between 1 and 15 using the numeric keypad on the remote.
- Press the pound (#) button
- Once the SAT button blinks three times, press record. Note: If successful the number selected in step 4 will appear in the System Info screen under Remote Address.
