Ok this TB external is not reading in my computer anymore and i dont know why it was working great one day adn then it just wont read. the light comeson and its sayin it can not read the drivers on it so is there something i can download to restore the drives or buy i dont care but i have this TB full of stuff and i dont want to lose it
I'm sorry to say but based on your statement, the HD is starting to quit working. Try the following first:
1. Try connecting the external HD into another computer. And if the other computer can detect the HD, immediately back the files up.
2. After backing up the files, reformat your HD and reconnect it to the computer that you are having a problem with.
But if you are hearing a clicking sound while the external HD is ON, I'm sorry but the HD is no longer functioning. The clicking sound is also called the "Click of Death" for hard drives.

Have a great day!
Dear Sgt. honeysuckle, Dustin J
You are welcome!

By the way, I forgot this thing, I'm not sure if this will help us make the HD work.
Put your HD into a zip lock plastic container just to make sure that the HD is sealed and put the HD into a freezer for 30 minutes.
This solution is not effective with ALL defective HDs, but I've heard that this solution fixed several HDs.
Good luck!
