Okay guys, i have a 02 gsxr 600, recently put new plugs, and fuel pump in after bike sat for a few years with gas in it, It floods after a few minutes, May have like 15 miles on plugs before the bike floods out new plugs and revs funny
Hi,I think if the plugs are getting wet then that meens to thing to me, one iver the air jets are not clean and the mixture then becomes to rich,or the floats are sticking, when you exelerate the fuel in the carb bowls gose down so that means the floats in the bowls opens in the bowls more to let more fuel through,so then you deselerate the fuel in the bowls fill up but if one or more of the floats in the bowls gets stuck then the petrol will still be comeing through and will fludd(and I hope after saying all this you replaced the air filter) second answer is that as its been stood up for so long is the battery ok,as you could also have a problem with the ignition side of it. some times we get in are head that its one thing and get blinkerd so make shore before you start to stripe the carbs down check the ignition system first.all the best, hope you get it sored out.
YOUR WHOLE FUEL SYSTEM NEEDS A COMPLETE CLEANING .CARBS OR INJECTED TAKE WHOLE SYSTEM APART AND SOAK ....ANY TIME STORING A GASOLINE POWERED ANYTHING ,ALWAYS RUN IT OUT OF GAS..GAS GUMS UP ALL THE GAS SYSTEM JUST AFTER A COUPLE OF MONTHS OF SITTING..IF ITS SMELLS LIKE TURPENTINE ..ITS A CLEANING YOU WILL BE A DOING..GREEN SLIMY GUNK..IVE CLEANED A MANY CARBS AND TANKS LIKE THIS..DONT TRY ANY QUICK IN THE TANK FIXES..THESE USUALLY CAUSES MORE HARM THAN GOOD..AND GOOD MONEY DOWN THE DRAIN..BRAKE CLEAN ,OR CARB CLEANER WORKS GREAT ...
