K cartridge Printer sensor error, replaced K-cartridge and turn off and on but error is the same. Bought the printer Mar 2007 and this happened May 2008 the warranty company replaced the printer at that time after much troubleshooting over the phone. Now the new one is doing it. Called the warrenty company since I have a 3-year warranty and they're telling me my warranty has been satisfied. Once unit is replaced your warranty lasts 90-days beyond that, NOT 3-Years! I've called Staples and the store manager said this was in the warranty companies fine print. They should have said at the time of replacement I fullfilled my warranty and I could buy another one since this one was 90 days now.

If you buy a printer with a 3 year warranty then your printer is covered for 3 years. if, under the warranty, the manufacturer decides to give you a replacement rather than fixing it then your warranty continues for the 3 years from the date of purchase. I know for a fact that this is how Oki operate in the UK. Call their service department in Slough again and I am sure they will sort your printer under warranty. All you need to have ready is the serial number and they can check your warranty entitlement. If the warranty was not provided by Oki then I would be off to trading standards.
