Old app of flash player won't install
I have downloaded a copy of flash player 9 from oldapps.com. This download came in the form of a zip file. When I unpacked the file and selected the file that is supposed to work on a system operating with windows XP Professional 2002 and Internet Explorer. When I clicked for the file to run a window titled ''Adobe Flash Player ActiveX Setup: Installing'' opened. A fraction of a second later another window opened, this one simply titled ''Adobe Flash Player ActiveX setup'' stated “The version of Adobe Flash Player ActiveX that you are trying to install is not the most current version. Please visit http://www.adobe.com/go/getflashplayer to obtain the latest, most secure version”. It didn't matter if I clicked on the ''X'' in the corner or the ''OK'' button, the result was the same, installation was aborted. If you want to get a firsthand look at the windows I have posted a screen capture of them at http://www.flickr.com/photos/[email protected]/3349672623/. I have no idea what to do to get the Flash player 9 to install onto my computer and have tried to post at oldapps and haven't been able to get on the board, I am hopeful that I will be able to find a solution here.
