Hi, My Olevia 532 is about five y/o and I just bought a Sony BDP-S3100 blu ray player. Have audio when using cable box for TV, but none for blu ray via HDMI connection. Switched out inexpensive HDMI cable for $30 Rocketfish one. There is a hum as if something is holding back sound. I have turned everything off, then on, reconnected HDMI and nothing. I went though the Sony troubleshooting list for "No Audio" using player and everything seems to be ok there. Would a firmware update help in this situation? Or is there just something wrong with the Olevia HDMI connection? I'm not the most tech savy person and would just like to watch a DVD or am I going to need a new TV for that? HELP!!!
