As the set is new, it is best to contact the authorized service center. If the HDMI software is not installed, there will be no HDMI reception. The service personal will look after it. Contact them. google.com/+GopakumarGopalan
HDMI is the future USB of Audio/Video signals. No more scrambled messes of cables. I would go into your setup program & label HDMI/1 with either "Cable" or "Antenna" or "Satelite" or "Blu-Ray" for what ever you are feeding it with. Your component connections would be used most likely for a "Game Console". Then, on your remote you'll see a source button, flip thru the various inputs until you get to whatever is feeding HDMI/1. Make sure that your input TV channel is set to either 3 or 4. From that point on, your Video Source remote will deal with its functions. Rember, with Plasma, LCD & LED TVs, you no longer need the Digital Converter Box for DTV signals. Mine did not work initially, but after the newness wore off, I went back, more slowly & corrected the minor extra tweaks required. -DellTech1
