The rca itc222 is the technican best freind. WHy? because we make so much money on them because the break so often. LOL I work on 3 a day. The first thing from your description i can tell you is that it is not the main fuse. The processor of this set sees a problem and shuts the set down. Now the first thing you can do is to uplug the set for 30 min and try to restart the set. this has never work for me but it eleminates processor lockup possibilitys. Now as a tech then next thing i can tell you is that we have a special computer interface that reads error codes much like a automobile. There is about 25 different conditions or errors that can cause a shutdown. The most likely possiblities are high voltage tranformers called the flyback or the horizontal output transistors. If you a tech these are do it yourself stuff but in general this is not a tv for a non tech. tipical repairs run from 150 to 400 for this set
