on, it goes the other way. The OSD controls do not allow me to completely center the display. It was working just fine before I hit the "auto" button on the front of the display

1 use the install disk that came with the monitor.
If this does not work then you may have an issue with the electronics.
2. take unit to a certified technician to check the circuitry.
3. this could be a inverter gone bad.
