On off switch won't stay depressed on AEG dishwasher
Plastic button on switch was replaced 18 months ago and switch sometimes works and sometimes won't, if you hold the switch in the ''on'' position (depressed with finger) the machine will work, but this is not practical for the 82 minute cycle (and probably quite dangerous). Then without reason it will start to work normally again for a few times before failing again.
Have tried to access the switch but printed circuit board can't be removed/opened to gain access..
If the switch is faulty do I have to replace the whole printed circuit board?
Actual machine model is AEG Oko Favourit 6081 Dishwasher

Just remove the 3 screws along the top of the door (on the "inside") and the first screw down each side. Door kinda falls apart at this point!Unclip the switch circuit board plastic holder, then unclip the wires...take a photo first so you can get them back in good order! Unclip circuit board and then clic power switch until it is on. Leave it in the on position and re assemble.
Use as per usual but just open the door if you want to turn it off
Took unit apart and when I put it back it worked again. For how long who knows.
Access to the switch is difficult but by removing the printed circuit board, it seemed to allow the switch to work.
Also check the micro switch on the door lock mechanism. Give it a quick spray of switch cleaner
