on switch- it is stuck in "on", fortunately. I can't get the case open to slide the guts out. I have removed the ring clip, but it doesn't drop out. What should I do?

You have to do some desoldering of wires to get the guts out, so take your time, and take notes or pictures as you go. This sounds like a tricky process, so take your time and be careful not to cause more damage. Most people don't seem to recommend taking one apart unless you really have to.

You will need to exact little more pressure and be consistent with it, perhaps, i will advice you replace the on/off switch for effective use.
