Report "Onan 5500 I am having problems with my generator after it runs for about 30 min +, it runs fine at first, then the engine rpm's fluctuate up and down then shuts off. code 36 is the trouble code. I have replaced the fuel pump, fuel filter and spark plugs. air filter is fine. i removed the carb and checked the float(appears to be fine). I have not checked the jet or cleaned it. It seems as though it is a fuel issue. Is it possible to be starved of fuel after time? Could air develop in the line? Could it be "overheating"? Would these symptoms be from valves sticking? I have not checked the power output? I am only running 1 ac and fridge when this occurs. Any suggestions of what it may be or things to check? Any advise would be appreciated. Has anyone else experienced this before? Is it a common occurrence? Please help thank you"
