One of my units transmits, rings the other radio, etc, but will not receive the the sound message from either a companion T5400, or another working compatable transceiver. Can the receiver be made workable?
Radio Communications - Motorola - Talkabout T5400 (14 Channels) 2-Way Radio
Qt filter set it to zero including the eliminator code. try also cleaning mic and speaker grills of both units,if the problem persist, you may have to replace one. here is a manual maybe you can find about rx or about setting the qt filter and the eliminator code to zero
Hi, you need to check your interference eliminator code. It sounds like they are not set to the same code. Also, if your radio has a Qt filter, set it to zero.
Here's a link to the manual http://www.giantintl.com/RadioPDFs/Outdated%20Manuals/T5300_T5400_User_Manual_E.pdf
Solution #2 is not a solution. All four radios are double checked and set alike at the simplist settingw w.o. privacy code, filters, or extra signals at end of transmissions. Please assume for me that the settings are corect.
Is there an easy check-up or repair to the receiver on both the Motorlia and the Midland I have asked for help on? What can I do to make them receive?

Hello,it is the ear piece receiver that is faulty,so all you need to do is to contact your service provider to replace the ear piece or the talkabout radio itself to be replaced. you can as well contact the service provider to know if it's not due to a bad reception from their server. wish you good luck,

In that case, you should replace it, that particular unit is disposable.
