Opening QuickBooks Pro 2009
I recently installed Quickbooks Pro 2009 and I recieved an error message saying "This version of QuickBooks requires Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 (or later)." But I have Internet Explorer 8. I called customer support and they told me that it was an internal problem during installation. Can somebody help me?

- Rather then installing Quickbooks from the CD, install from aDownloaded version.
- After installation is complete, right-click the newly created QuickBooks Desktop iconand choose properties:
- Click the Compatibility tab.
- Place a check mark next toRun this Program in compatibility mode for: > Windows XP Service Pack 3 in the drop down menu.
- ClickOK.
- Restart the computer if needed.

I would suggest:
1) make a backup of your data
2) uninstalling QB
3) delete the QB installation folder entirely
4) re-install QB
5) restore your data
